Andi was on a transport ship on her way to Starbase 13 in the Beta Quadrant. During her journey, she decided to do a personal log.

“It seems strange that after a couple of years, I have been reassigned to the USS Churchill under Captain Stewart. It is strange; I was not on the ship the first time around long enough for it to feel like home. I so hope that this time will be different.”

“I told my father of my new assignment, and his look was priceless. My mother was proud, and my pappi and I had words. He was never happy about my joining Starfleet in the first place, but here I am back to where I started my first stint as an XO. Yet I do not know if any of the old crew are still there or if we are going to have a bunch of new crews joining,” she paused.

“I am so glad I am not too superstitious, else I would assume that boarding the ship at Starbase 13 could be considered unlucky *sigh* I suppose we will soon see. If memory serves, this assignment will be very different from my last posting. I certainly hope so, it does not do one’s service jacket good to have another short stint as First Officer, it only took me just over a month to get out here” She paused.

The transport dropped from warp outside the defence perimeter of Starbase 13 as the pilot contacted Starbase flight control.

“I started on this trip in late April, as even with the latest ship engines, it takes a couple of months to get to the Starbase. Now we are finally here, the ship is on approach to the Starbase, time to end this personal log”, she finished.

“Computer end Personal Log, save and transfer it to the Churchills’ database”, she added, and the computer bleeped, indicating that the instruction had been carried out. Sighing heavily, Andi gathered her belongings together, and with her kitbag in hand, she left her quarters and headed for the bar. She would spend the remaining hours relaxing and prepping herself to meet her former Commanding Officer.
